Procare Cardiff
Est. 2001
Procare Cardiff operates in conjunction with the
Urology Department of the University Hospital of Wales Cardiff.
“So? Can we help you?”
Have you or someone close to you been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer and are finding it difficult to cope with the impact of the disease?
Or are you considering one of the various treatments available, and would like to contact and talk to somebody who has successfully undergone treatment?
Then we can help you!
Procare Cardiff meets every two months. The meetings open with a talk from a guest speaker on topics ranging from the sexual aspects of Prostate Cancer to recent developments in detection and treatments. Tea and coffee are served afterwards when members can have an informal chat with the speaker or between themselves to discuss their personal experiences.
Procare’s Aims and Objectives:
Our principal aim is to help men recently diagnosed with Prostate Cancer by informal discussion and providing helpful information.
To support the families and friends of men recently diagnosed or undergoing treatment.
To listen to and support men who have completed their treatment and wish to talk to others who have undergone similar treatment.
To monitor the state of Prostate Cancer Services in our area, to express our views in the public domain and to support the fight against the disease.
We offer support to families and partners of men affected by Prostate Cancer
but we are unable to provide Medical Information or Advice.
